Christmas lights in London

Rather than stuffing ourselves with turkey and too much wine (what?!! Is there such a thing as too much wine?) on Christmas day, Philippa and I went to London with a picnic to photograph the Christmas decorations.

I had expected deserted streets devoid of any traffic, but there were quite a few people with the same idea as us. And since there is no public transportation on Christmas day in this strange country (imagine – some people might want to visit each other on this day of feast!), there were also quite a few cars on the streets. With a long shutter time, they added a bit of randomness to the compositions.

Click on any of the pictures to go large. Sorry, no fries.
