The Hall

The Hall, Havering-atte-Bower, home of The Saint Francis Hospice

The Saint Francis Hospice opened the gates to their award-winning gardens and grounds today. Many visitors from the local area and beyond took the opportunity to view the beautiful gardens and hear about the great work done at the hospice.

The hospice’s gardener Dave Collins was available with his volunteers to answer questions and show people around.

The event was free of charge, but I hope many visitors took the opportunity to buy a plant from the plant stall, or a cup of tea and homemade cake at the Pepperell Education centre. The hospice relies on fundraising and contributions from the public in order to carry on their wonderful work, so every penny went to a good cause.
